All throughout your life there will be people who tell you your goals cannot be accomplished. Please know you do not have to listen to these people.
They are what we like to call haters and trust me they are everywhere. They are the type of people who try to sow doubt in your heart and mind.
Their number one goal is to get you off track so you can continue to live life in the way that they feel you should live it.
But guess what?
You don’t have to lower your standards just so they can feel better about themselves.
The tips below will not only help you transform your body, but they will also help you achieve any goals you set out to accomplish.
Take Control Of Your Environment
Often times when trying to lose weight you will find that the people around you are the ones who tend to have the poorest health and fitness habits.
The problem is you can’t just cut these people out of your life. You can, however, take control of your environment.
So what exactly does it mean to control your environment?
It means to become more aware of the people and situations in your life, and how they influence your decisions.
Take a step back and evaluate the people you spend the most time with. Identify those who help you move closer to your health and fitness goals, and those who serve as nothing more than a distraction.
Once you have identified those who serve as a distraction you can start spending less time with those individuals.
Or, if it is an individual such as a spouse, your best bet is to try to communicate with them what you need from them as you take on this new health and fitness journey.
Track Your Progress
Studies have shown that those who keep a food journal are more likely to reach their health and fitness goals.
As a matter of fact, you can actually double your weight loss simply by writing down the foods you are eating on a daily basis.
And just like you should keep track of the food you are eating, you should also track your progress. There’s a saying that goes, what gets measured gets improved.
When you track your progress, be it through a fitness app such as MyFitnessPal, or by weighing yourself on a daily basis, you are able to see the how much progress you are making.
You are also able to see where you need to improve. When you are able to visually see your progress it serves as a confidence booster.
When you see how far you’ve come it makes you want to keep going.
The good news is keeping track of your progress is as simple as downloading one of the many fitness apps on your smartphone.
Many of the top fitness apps make it easy for you to track calorie consumption, workouts, and even the amount of water you are drinking.
The truth is most diets work. The problem however is most people lack the discipline to be consistent. You see, it doesn’t matter if you are following the greatest diet in the world, if you aren’t consistent you will not get results.
If you talk to any bodybuilder in the world they will tell you their biggest “secret” is consistency. They never miss a workout or a meal. They are disciplined and committed to doing whatever it takes to get the body they want.
Now let’s be very clear. We are in no way condoning you do something potentially dangerous to get the body you want.
We are however saying transforming your body is not easy. There are no magic pills or supplements that will get the job done.
It takes hard work and consistency.
You have to be willing to get up at 4am in the morning if that what it takes. You have to be willing to prep your meals for several days in advance.
There are no shortcuts to a better body. Either you are all in or you are all out. You can’t give 50% effort and expect amazing results.
You have to give your absolute best everyday. When you consistently give your best you will consistently get results.
The fact that you are taking steps to improve your health and fitness is something you should be proud of.
Its an uphill battle, but it is most definitely worth the climb.
No matter how hard it gets, refuse to give up. Keep pushing through and you will get the results you truly want.
If you need a little support throughout your journey consider joining one of the many fitness groups on Facebook.
