I don’t know about you, but I love to snack.
The problem is, not all snacks are created equal.

However, that doesn’t mean all hope is lost.
There are snacks that are not only healthy for you, but that also taste great!
These snacks will fuel your body and give you the energy you need to make it through a long day.

When it comes to healthy snacks, hardboiled eggs are without a doubt one of the best options.
I know they don’t smell very good, but when it comes to taste and nutritional value, they are in a league of their own.

I seriously love peanut butter. It is one of my favorite foods of all time.
And luckily, it also falls into the category of healthy snacks.
Peanut butter provides you with a quality source of protein and healthy fats.
This means not only is peanut butter delicious, but it is very filling.
You can add peanut butter to smoothies, oatmeal, dip bananas in it, or just eat a spoonful with nothing else.
Peanut butter is so versatile which is why its one of my favorites.
Just be careful because the calories can really add up.
While you can buy granola in stores, it is best you make your own at home.
Doing so gives you complete control over the ingredients being used.
A healthy granola mix will consist of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
Mix in peanuts, almonds, cashews, raisins, oats, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, oats, chia seeds,
flax seeds, and raisins.
You should of course leave out anything you don’t like.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with different nuts and seeds until you find the perfect mix for your taste buds.
No healthy snacks list would be complete without precut vegetables.
Before you bail on me, please know there is no need to gnaw on celery sticks all day.
There is a long list of great tasting vegetables that can be used as healthy snacks.
Some of them include carrots, broccoli, and bell peppers.

Almonds are an excellent source of protein and healthy fats.
They are perfect for those times when you are craving junk food.
Grab a handful of almonds and the cravings will go away.
Almonds will also give you a quick boost in energy.
Buy a big bag and portion them out into smaller bags.
Store them in your pantry, or on your countertop, and grab a bag everyday on your way out the door.
Generally speaking I wouldn’t recommend protein bars as a healthy snack.
Far too many of them are full of additives, preservatives, and a host of unhealthy ingredients.
Consider protein bars the go to snack in emergency situations only.
Before trying one, take the time to look at the ingredient list on the package.
If you can’t pronounce the ingredients, that’s a sign you should try another option.
Always remember that simple is better.
The healthiest protein bars will have the least amount of ingredients.
You will need to do a little experimenting to find one that is healthy, and that you enjoy.
Try a variety of different flavors until you find one that’s just right.
If you love cooking, you can also make your own protein bars.
Its not as difficult as you might think.
The food you use to fuel your body matters.
Its sounds cliche, but you really are what you eat.
